We moved to Portugal from the Caribbean just over 9 years ago and found the House of Swallows after searching the Algarve from one end to the other. We have lived in warm countries before and wanted to retire in a warm and sunny country. Going forward and modernising the House of Swallows to what it is today, we want to share this special place with all the stressed, tired and overworked people out there. We love the House of Swallows because it offers spectacular views, peacefulness, a swimming pool and loads of fruit trees which you can explore and pick your own fruit from. Its the perfect place to relax and have a holiday break. We have a family of swallows who nest on our patio every year, they bring the Summer with them. Their antics give us hours of amusement, plus the photographers test to catch them in flight.
